About the Author

Peter McNeil is Distinguished Professor in Design History at University of Technology, Sydney, Australia. His many books include Pretty Gentlemen: Macaroni Men and the Eighteenth-century Fashion World (2018), Luxury: A Rich History (2016), The Fashion History Reader: Global Perspectives (2010), and Shoes: A History from Sandals to Sneakers (2006)

Vicki Karaminas is Professor of Fashion and Director of Doctoral Studies in the School of Design, Massey University, New Zealand, and Honorary Research Fellow at the Centre of Visual Arts, University of Melbourne, Australia.

Catherine Cole is a professor of Creative Writing at Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology and author of The Poet who Forgot, The Grave at Thy Lu, Dry Dock, Skin Deep, Private Dicks and Fiesty Chicks: An Interrogation of Crime Fiction.
