Barbara Breen is a knitter and knitwear designer with more than 30 years of creative experience. She is the author of Meditative Knitting: 19 Easy, Beautiful Designs for a Mindful Experience. Barbara’s designs are also available through her BoJeanne Knits store on Ravelry. Beyond her design work, she has written a deeply personal essay, “Putting Down the Needles,” which reflects on the impact of dementia on her mother’s knitting journey. Along with a 20-year career as a business writer, Barbara holds degrees in English and organizational psychology. Now residing in Texas, she remains connected to her New York roots as a member of the Big Apple Knitters Guild (BAKG) and The Knitting Guild Association (TKGA).
