Like many individual investors or business owners, you probably have a substantial amount of money tied up in stocks, bonds, annuities, and mutual funds. However, if you take a close look at your net returns after taxes, commissions, and fees for some of these investments, you may be surprised to discover that your net returns are substantially lower than expected. With today's Individually Managed Account (IMA), you can avoid these problems and take advantage of a personalized financial portfolio once reserved only for the very wealthy.
Individually Managed Accounts: An Investor's Guide presents the first comprehensive read on this increasingly popular investment vehicle. Through in-depth insights culled from years of experience, financial expert Robert Jorgensen fully explains what IMAs are, how they can be used, and the related pros and cons of investing in them compared to such alternatives as mutual funds. Individually Managed Accounts is the most comprehensive guide written about IMAs and explores investment options, alternatives, costs, risks, myths, and realities. This book provides step-by-step guidance and professional advice, and will show you how to select, retain, and work with an investment manager within an IMA.
Composed of three equally informative parts, this comprehensive guide provides the most well-rounded discussion of IMAs available today.
Part I highlights issues relevant to the challenge of achieving a real return from investments, net of fees and taxes
Part II introduces fundamental issues related to professional money management and investor behavior
Part III presents real-life advantages of implementing IMAs through case studies and interviews with managers
After all is said and done, successful investing isn't about how much money you make, it's about how much you keep. IMAs were built on this premise, and they continue to deliver on their promise. By letting you customize your money management to control tax situations, reflect other investment holdings, and mirror personal investment preferences, IMAs have become one of the best ways to invest your money and an optimal way to achieve better returns. Individually Managed Accounts offers detailed instructions on how you can unlock the tremendous potential of this investment vehicle. This is one financial opportunity you can't afford to miss.
